Over a year in the making, our first production run of these beauties consists of both "Camel" door and "Economy door versions. ( Yes, we actually tooled two different versions ! ! ! )

Eleven different road numbers were delivered, displaying four different shades of paint !

Two cars were decorated for with the 1930's "Royal Gorge" paint scheme, nine decorated in the 1940's-'til-now "Flying Grande" paint scheme.

Although we just began shipping on them last Thursday, ( the 23rd of April. ) response thus far has been overwhelmingly positive ! And we're already getting repeat orders so this first run probably won't be around very long.

And below we've put up a couple of close-up views that were a true test of my camera. ( And its operator. ) If you are into detail, like the ad says, you're going to like what you see! We guarantee it !

Each of these models is a faithful reproduction of its prototype, in miniature. They are equipped with GENUINE KADEE@reg Couplers, and COINED, NICKEL PLATED BRASS Wheelsets.

Of course, we would like to see these models populating all of our customers layouts. But keep in mind that these are SCALE MODELS, not children's toys. As delivered, they are designed to be operated on 28" and larger radius curves. For operation on tighter radius curves, much of that beautiful brake rigging will likely have to be removed. Pity......

We produced "around" 100 of each of these models. Our next run will probably arrive in the fall. If your railroad is hurting for FUNCTIONAL rolling stock, you might consider some of these. They're priced commensurate with their quality, and at that, if you value your modeling time as being worth ANYTHING AT ALL, these things are a bargain! Call or email NOW !
