If your tickertape" no longer works, here's Microsoft's "Fix". ( Directly off their web site. )
( Thanks to Al Krug for sleuthing this out for us. . . )

TRY THIS "FIX":

Open Internet Explorer , click the Tools button, click Internet Options , and then click the Security tab.
Click Internet or Restricted sites , and then click the Custom level button.
Scroll down to Scripting; Allow status bar updates via script, select Enable .
Don't forget to Click on View and check Status Bar.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
Test your computer by doing a SCREEN REFRESH . ( Press F5 )

Does everything should work as advertised now ?

YES - CLICK HERE to get back to PBL's Main page.

NO - Then the problem COULD BE you don't have a current version of JAVA on your computer. (Java technology allows you to work and play in a secure computing environment. ) CLICK HERE to download the current version. ( It's FREE. ) Then follow the installation instructions on their page.
