| These models, our latest arrivals, heralded our entry into the realm of that "other" Colorado Narrow Gauge operation, the Colorado and Southern. Their prototypes were the last narrow gauge steamers to operate on the C&S, outlasting all the other C&S's motive power by a good five years! Click here, or on the Photo for more info ! |

Probably the most widely used of all the mechanical contraptions on the
'Grande's roster, these "winged warriors" served yeoman duty during the winter
months, then got called out to manicure the roadbed during the summer months.
'Sides that, although the R.G.S. never owned one, per se, the fact is they'd "borrow" OU on occasion to spruce up their mainline too 'cause the Jordan was real good at clearing away brush from the right-of-way. So click on the photo above to see pics we shot of the three distinct versions of Spreader "OU" we created. Time's runnin' out on these, so if you're of a mind to add one to YOUR roster, best you do it quick, 'fore it's too late. |

Click on the photo above for a look at our SECOND ESPEE Freight Car release,
the "Type III Box Car, replete with another new Freight Car Truck; the "Heavy
Duty", Short Wheelbase Arch Bar style truck which makes a total of 13 different
Freight Car Trucks we've in our reportoire ! ( See photo below. )
And yes, these kits are supplied with our "New Generation" instructions which means that they have color illustrations and photos! 'Sides that we had another Lost Wax Brake Crossover Pipe so made 'specially for this kit so that, with very little effort, you can become a "contest quality" model builder with results like you see above!

If you "click around" on the RH Truck above you can view some close-ups of one
of our most amazing trucks to date ! We've even managed to recreate the "double
nuts" so they appear to be twisted 45 degrees, one from the other ! ! ! And
notice too how the brake shoes have the proper ( for the Espee ) brake shoe
hangers moulded onto them ? On these cars that set so high off the ground,
EVERYTHING is exposed ! So if there's a detail missing, that shows too !
Which, of course, would never do, now would it ?
This truck is furnished with our kit #PBL-R32 , the S.P. 40k "Type III" box car. And of course, for you scratch builders, they're available separately ( in pairs ) too. ( Nickel Plated Brass Wheelsets included too. ) And too, Star Brand Paints has gone and created TWO special colors for our S.P. customers: The "Proper", as originally painted S.P. Freight Car Red; and a great shade of "Sunburned Red" which is how their wood cars mostly ended up looking, with the passing of time. Both colors AVAILABLE NOW in STAR's traditional semi-gloss so as to readily accept decals.
