Back in early February P-B-L Announced a series of "new" "3000" Class Box Cars for our D&RGW customers. And true to our word, we've gone and created both the "Economy Door" (Camel Door) and "Reinforced Door" Versions !
Sure, we've had the "Reinforced Door" cars in our product line since 1984, but time marches on. All new tooling has been made directly from 3D "Solid Models" created right on this computer!
Last August we sent some parts up to our old pal Bill Adkins, ( The same Bill Adkins whose workbench made the back cover of the September/October Narrow Gauge Gazette. ) to see what he could do with them in a couple of weeks time... Sans instructions of any sort.
The results of his hurried efforts can be seen above. I dare say that there are darned few of us that wouldn't be proud to put these to work on our layouts. And after seeing them, I know you'll agree !
